Hi! My name is Tierra Stone, and I am a multimedia journalism student at Morgan State University with a focus on health, social justice, and community-centered reporting. My work combines traditional reporting with visual and digital storytelling to highlight issues that impact underrepresented communities.

I have reported for The MSU Spokesman, The Baltimore Afro-American Newspaper, and The Catholic Review, covering topics including public health, education, faith-based initiatives, and campus and local affairs. My experience includes pitching original story ideas, conducting in-depth interviews, producing news packages, and collaborating in deadline-driven newsroom environments.

I have produced multimedia packages examining innovative cancer treatment at the Maryland Proton Treatment Center and entrepreneurship programs supporting formerly incarcerated individuals at Morgan State University. I also completed a documentary exploring the Black maternal health crisis, translating complex medical and policy issues into accessible, human-centered storytelling.

As a non-traditional student and emerging journalist, I am driven by a commitment to ethical reporting, accuracy, and amplifying voices that are often overlooked. I am currently seeking internship opportunities in broadcast and digital news, with particular interests in health, social justice, and community impact reporting.
