Biography

Tierra Stone is a senior at Morgan State University, majoring in multimedia journalism. Based in Baltimore, her reporting focuses on health, environmental justice, and the ways policy and infrastructure affect underserved communities.

She recently completed a fellowship with Inside Climate News, where she reported on climate resilience and community-led environmental solutions. Her work included reporting in Key West, Florida, where she covered the Henrietta Marie and the Underwater Adventure Seekers, one of the oldest Black scuba diving organization in the country.

Stone has also reported extensively on public health through her “Black Health Matters: Cancer on Campus” series for The MSU Spokesman, examining how access to care, research, and policy impact underserved communities. She has previously interned with The Baltimore Afro-American Newspaper and freelanced for The Catholic Review.

She is interested in investigative and multimedia storytelling that explores the intersection of health, climate, and policy, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices.
